Friday was a great day! I am doing an internship in LA and on Friday’s we don't have shoots. What does that mean? I really don't have to go in to work! Yeah! But I was 2 hours short of making my 38.5 hours for credit for the week. So instead of sitting around my house and being untruthful on my hours I decided to go in. Da da daaaaaaa!
When I arrived at work, it was a beautiful sunny day outside. As I parked and said, "Hello" to Juan, I gave him a nice crunch red apple I got from Smart and Final! Yummy! You need to take care of the people who take care of you or your car!
Getting to the point! Since there isn't much for me to do on Friday's except for cleaning something the cleaning crew has already clean. John's rep Rose asked Steve the studio manager if I could help her on Fridays. Nice! Two internships in one! This opportunity is great! Hopefully I will be doing a lot of things with Rose that I will be doing in NY and maybe, just maybe it will make me a little ahead of the game on how things work on the production side of photography.
Obedience and truthfulness...What you invest in is where your heart will follow.

All over the place...
Woke up today with out an alarm! Why? It was at 6:30am!
ipod's are icky, when they don't work right.
I really like putting ... at the end of unfinished sentences. Huh...
Michelle Kelley is an amazing knowledgeable woman, who understands my crazy head games
Juan the parking attendant is my buddy, so I think. Well I bring him sodas.
Should I be happy or sad one of our 2 shoots today got canceled? Working like a dog!
I wish I would have straightened my hair this morning.
I had a nightmare last night and some how God translated it to be obedience and endurance. What???!!! God works in mysterious ways.
Great disappointment
Cheese!
I work with all guys.
Bills, bills, bills!!! Grrr...
Stupid
Everyone in my house is sick! Ahhhh!!!! I am trying not to get sick, but I don't think it is working. :(

Can animals see themselves in the mirror? I heard they can but they get bored easily with it, because they can always anticipate the next move. LOL!!!
Do you have something to say to me?
I pray I am not getting sick
"Men or mice? What will it be"
Do I want to go out of country for 3 months after my internships? Travel till I am 26?

3 Smacks in the FACE!!! Right, Left and another RIGHT!
Self conviction time!
Romans 8:5-8
5. Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6. The mind of sinful man[e] is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7. the sinful mind[f] is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
I love it when God speaks to me.
Lately, I haven't been in the greatest mood, I haven't been my happy, I will do anything for anyone attitude, which if you know me that is NOT ME!
Grrr....there is more to my story, but that isn't the important part of this blog. The important part is I have been praying to God to put more tolerance in my life when it comes to my internship and life situations.
So what do we do when we need the Lord? We get deeper into the Word, prayer and surrender our fleshy sinful ways.
Lately, I have been listening to my podcast on my way to work and it helps me set the tone for a better day. Today was a day that I got the beat down. I listened to Britt Merrick's message, God's Design for Labor. A yeah! Punch 1
Punch 2! You submit. Do your work for God and not human and who knew it would be more fruitful. Duh!
Punch 3! On my way home from working, 9am to 7:30pm, not including 2 1/2 hours. I was speaking to my Dad about what God was showing me with my attitude toward my day, and would ya know it, he starts telling me about a daily devotional he received! Hmmm...what could it be on? Let's find out!

Seeing a Greater Purpose in Adversity
Os Hillman
But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We are all here!" - Acts 16:28
Paul and Silas had just been thrown into prison. An earthquake erupted and the jail cell was opened. It's Paul and Silas' opportunity. "Deliverance! Praise God!" might be the appropriate response. But this is not what Paul and Silas did. In fact, rather than leave, they sat quietly in their cell area. The guard, in fear of his life, knew that it would be automatic death if prisoners escaped. Paul and Silas did not leave because they saw a higher purpose for which they were in prison. They were not looking at their circumstance; they were much more concerned about the unsaved guard. The story goes on to explain how Paul and Silas went home with the guard and his family. Not only did the guard get saved, but his entire household as well.
What a lesson this is for us. How often we are so busy looking for deliverance from our circumstance that we miss God completely. God is looking to do miracles in our circumstances if we will only look for them. Sometimes as workplace believers we become so obsessed with our goals we miss the process that God involves us in, which may be where the miracle lies. What if that bill collector who has been hounding you is unsaved and he is there for you to speak to? What if a problem account has arisen due to something God is doing beyond what you might see at this time? Our adverse situations can often be the door of spiritual opportunity for those who need it.
I saw this personally when God allowed me to go through a number of adversities. It took some time, but I saw some great miracles as a result of those adversities. When God said that "all things work together for good for those who are called according to His purposes" (see Rom. 8:28), He meant all things. It is up to us to find the "work together for good" part by being faithful to the process. In the next adversity you face, tune your spiritual antennae and ask God for discernment to see the real purpose for the adversity.
Alright I get it! Turn that frown upside down!
Good stuff, good stuff! ;)

The Gym
I have been going to the gym for quit awhile now and it finally occured to me that guys totally look at themselves more in the mirror than women! Okay, so when a man works out he takes his time and looks at every single rippling muscle that he works. They love to see the vains popping out of their skin or something. Hmmm... NOW when a woman works out at the gym they don't want to see themselves in the mirror because they are all sweaty and not at their best. They think they look fat and yadda yadda yadda. I only write this because when I was at the gym tonight, I was looking around and all the guys were infront of the mirror, looking at themselves! I could be wrong! But to prove a point, I do know some guys who like to look at theselves in the mirror all the time without going to the gym, you know who you are. ;)
Normally I don't care what I look like at the gym but I caught myself saying, "My wife beater could be whiter! I should go buy some more and recycle my old ones." Lol!!!

Dial-up with Windows 97 and falling asleep on the couch is going to be the death of me!
I woke up this morning after having a great day yesterday, and I felt my whole body in pain! What is this about? My left leg is strained, my lower back feel's like it was hit many times with a baseball bat, I have a tight muschle in my neck that I can thank my lovely couch for and to top it off a wonderful, pleasant headache. I am over it! I am only 25! I have never felt this much pain before, even when I was in a car accident!
I goto the gym often, I am a heathly eater, kinda, I am trying to eat less...cookies? Heehee!
Today as I was packing and going through many things, I started to get a stomach ache, like I was going to throw-up, WHAT!?! Alright, I had had enough. I started to have some words with satin, cause this just wasn't cool anymore. I talked and he had no choice but to listen. Whether or not he makes both of my legs strained and yadda, yadda, I will get the job done and packed! God alread told me I am going. I think if it came down to it, I could be a good deligator. Lol!
But today was a mental challenge as well as a physical. There are so many things going on in my mind that I just want to escape from or indulge in. I don't want to be crazy about anything. I just want to read my Bible and curl up in my bed, which may I add has never hurt me. It always welcomes me with creamy sheets, fluffy yet firm pillows and a feather comforter with a satiny red cover over it, yeah...
Well tomorrow is another day!
(BIG DEEP BREATH IN AND OUT, WITH A SPOON FULL OF BEN AND JERRY'S!) ;)
